All about K-Beauty Pt. 1

Hey guys! Long time no see~ Today, I’m here to talk about Korean cosmetics and where in the world you can possible get your hands on them 😀 This is a series of posts, with this one being Pt. 1.

Recently, Korean Beauty has been blowing up everywhere. People are over the world are beginning to learn and experiment with it. I personally love Korean skincare, I swear by it ^_^  Today, I will be going over some of the most popular brands, and where to get them.Screenshot 2017-04-12 at 10.15.33 AM.png

First off, let’s start off with an affordable brand : Etude House/에뛰드하우스. It is basically the drugstore brand of Korea. It is a brand owned by a company called Amore Pacific, whom are famous for their cushion compacts. You may here a lot of you-tubers talking about this brand, because it is high quality and quite cheap. Many popular idols are spokespeople/models for this brand. Many kpop groups have also done pictorials to help promote Etude House in Korea. As of September 2016, f(x)’s Krystal is still the main spokesperson and face of the brand.

Next up, we have : 3 Concept Eyes (3CE)/ STYLENANDA. This brand is full of bright, fun, high voltage colors. This is the brand to buy if your the kind of girl who likes to stay on top with trends and styles. This brand is slightly more expensive, and may leave a hole in your wallet 😀 3CE is all about making a statement and being bold, so if that’s you, definitely check out this brand.Screenshot 2017-04-14 at 10.47.20 AM.png

Another pretty well known brand in Korea is : Missha. They are known for their spa-quality products and reasonable price range. They also often do collabs with many things, resulting in the most cutest products. Just last year in January, Missha released a collab with LINE FRIENDS, selling makeup and skincare products with Brown, Cony, and Sally printed on them. They were so famous that they sold out immediately, and due to the popularity, Missha soon came out with a second line of products not long after.

And then we have Laneige/라네즈. They are another brand that was created by Amore Pacific. Laneige is most famous for skin care products, and are now becoming more well known for their makeup. It’s on the expensive side, but guess what, you can get it at Target. As of now, Song Hye Kyo and Lee Sung Kyung are the models of Laneige, while Song Hye Kyo is also the endorser of the brand.

Lastly, these are more websites for where to get products rather than brands or companies. 🙂

-StyleKorean – http://www.stylekorean.com/

They are a great place to look for K-beauty products, and they often have sales and discounts occurring regularly. There products are from Korea, and they normally sell them a bit cheaper than what they normally go for. I would totally recommend this site to any new makeup lovers.

-Ibuybeauti – https://www.ibuybeauti.com/

Another really great place to buy K-beauty. Their service is great and the prices are super affordable. The only down side with this website is that many products are usually out of stock. Other than that, their staff are all really friendly, products are shipped from Korea, and prices/shipping are all reasonable and cheap. Definitely would recommend checking out this site.

-Shop and Box – http://www.shopandbox.com/v2/

This is not really a site specifically for Korean Beauty, but it will definitely get the job done. This is a program where you are assigned a boxer. You will be able to list all the products that you would like to buy. The boxer whom lives in the country will go out and buy stuff for you, and ship it to your door. All you have to do is pay for the products and shipping and that’s it! It is on the expensive side, but if your desperate for a product that is only found in Korea, or your a YouTube makeup guru who needs the newest products to try out, then this is the site for you.

>.< And that’s all for now. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and I hope to come out with a part 2 soon. Feel free to leave any questions or comments below, and I will gladly answer them! Peace out~~ Amy
